FAQ

Why does Windows SmartScreen warn me?

ExoTune isn't code-signed — code-signing certificates cost money we'd rather not spend, and we'd rather pass that on as "free" than as "$5 a month." SmartScreen's warning is the standard you'll see for any small unsigned tool. Click "More info" then "Run anyway" to proceed.

Will ExoTune slow down my PC?

It runs once when you launch it, applies the tweaks, and exits. There's no background daemon, no scheduled task, no telemetry. If you want it to run on game start, you can add it to a launcher script — but that's on you.

Does it work with anti-cheat?

ExoTune doesn't read or write to game memory, doesn't inject DLLs, and doesn't do anything the anti-cheat would care about. We've tested with EAC and BattlEye titles without issues. That said: anti-cheat is opaque, run it at your own risk.

How do I undo the changes?

Run ExoTune again and click "Reset to Defaults." Suspended services resume automatically on reboot regardless.
